Tengchong blends geothermal wonders, well‑preserved merchant‑town heritage, wetlands teeming with birdlife, and the biodiverse slopes of Gaoligong Mountain.

  • Geothermal: Rehai Hot Spring park for steamy pools and forest boardwalks

  • Historic Heshun: Cobblestone lanes, courtyards, bookshops, and tea houses

  • Volcanic field & wetlands: Cones, lava terrain, optional balloon; bamboo boats across Beihai Wetland

  • Gaoligong Mountain: Choose easy to moderate guided hikes 7 km, 12 km, or 16 km



Day 1 — Arrive & Rehai Hot Spring

  • Rehai Hot Spring Scenic Area: Forested boardwalks, fumaroles, and turquoise pools

  • Optional private soak at a hot‑spring resort post‑walk

  • Local Yunnan dinner in town

Day 2 — Heshun Ancient Town

  • Heshun lanes and courtyards: Library, Museum of Overseas Chinese, tea house overlooking rice paddies

  • Optional calligraphy or woodblock‑print mini workshop

  • Sunset viewpoint over Heshun roofs and fields



Day 3 — Volcano Park & Beihai Wetland

  • Tengchong Volcano Geothermal National Park: Walk crater rims and lava fields

  • Optional hot‑air balloon for aerial views (weather‑dependent)

  • Beihai Wetland Nature Reserve: Bamboo boat across floating mats and birdwatching



Day 4 — Gaoligong Mountain Hike & Departure

  • Guided hike in Gaoligong Mountain: Forest, waterfalls, butterflies and bird calls

  • Choose distance: 7 km easy, 12 km classic, or 16 km extended
